Growing up we have always had family pets from dogs and bunnies to show pigeons.  That's were the love for animals started. Currently I have my medical assisting certificate and am looking to expand my education by entering in school for phlebotomy. One of my main goals in life is to start my own bunny rescue group so I can educate people on spaying and neutering there pets. Right now my fur babies consists of my baby Goliath which I help to deliver. A couple of fish. I also just got our newest edition a beautiful lion head bunny that we adopted from another animal hospital. What can I say I love what I do. Its like I don't have to work a day in my life. I feel as if I am truly blessed.

Phylicia

Picture
Phylicia has had a connection with animals since childhood. The passion to help those “without a voice” has been in her nature throughout her life. She pursued her goal and achieved an Associate of Science degree in Veterinary Technology and graduated with high honors in September 2014. Since then she has not stopped but only accelerated by obtaining an internship here at Pasadena Pets and soon after got hired on in December 2014. She is a great addition to the practice bringing her love and knowledge of the care for animals; she is here to provide the best care for you and your fur babies.
When she is not here at the hospital caring for you and your family members, she spends her time caring for her own family; a 14 year old boy and a 3 year old domestic short haired cat. She also enjoys karaoke and taking trips to nearby thrift stores in the surrounding area and occasionally visits the roller skating rink in Chino.

Jessie

Picture
Jessie has always had interest in animals. As a child he always imagined himself working with animals. In October 2013 he actually had the opportunity to volunteer at Pasadena Pets Veterinary Hospital.   After volunteering for 9 months he was hired as a kennel assistant. Now, after lots of hard work, guidance and determination, he is now a veterinary technician. With his knowledge and experience in the field he is planning to finish school to become an RVT. His siblings always owned their own pets and then Jessie was able to get his first dog in 2009, a Siberian Husky named Roxy. One of the main reasons why he loves huskies so much is because his favorite animal is a Wolf. Then 2 years ago he adopted his second dog, a Blue Nose Pit named Blue. On his spare time Jessie is a very big gamer and loves comic books. He truly enjoys helping animals in need and will always be more than happy to help you and your pets.

Carmen, RVT

Picture
Carmen was born in Hong Kong and came to US to study when she was young. She graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in June 2015 with a BS in Animal Health Science and obtained her RVT license in Feb 2016. Carmen is looking forward to obtain specialty licenses in the future. She worked as a lab technician assistant in a diagnostic lab. She also did internships in many different areas such as the animal emergency hospital, wildlife rehabilitation center, and animal shelters.

Currently, she have 2 dogs and a rabbit. Her favorite cartoon is Winnie the Pooh so she named her dog as Poohco. While she was in school, she would bring Poohco to attend a Pet Therapy Program. The program allowed student pets to visit children and elderly in the hospitals. Sometimes, even though some of the children were not be able to speak, one could see their smiles when they pet the animals. Carmen is always amazed how animals can make a difference people's lives.
