She made sure to go around and greet all the chickens, rabbits, doves, parakeets, and dogs that lived on the property. As she grew older she realized she also had a love of science and medicine. Her motivation for entering the veterinary field, however, came when she began volunteering at Best Friends Animal Society in Mission Hills. Yesenia is currently a student at Penn Foster College in hopes of becoming a registered veterinary technician. At home she cares for her beautiful 1 year old son Teddy, a 4 year old husky mix Zoe, a 4 year old cat Cleopatra, and recently adopted a little kitten named Osiris.
